4 Every Man (Popular Opinion Leader Program)
The goal of the 4 Every Man POL Project is to reduce the incidence of HIV/AIDS in African American Men in Seattle/King County, by implementing the Popular Opinion Leader (POL) Model in various segments of the population. The Popular Opinion Leader (POL) Model consists of identifying, recruiting and educating individuals in the community who are well-respected, well-known and influential, to conduct a
specialized type of outreach to their friends and associates. 4 Every Man's primary focus remains to be African American MSM (Men who have Sex with Men); however, due to the increasing incidence of HIV in the African American community, we have extended our efforts to include all sexually active African American men, irregardless of sexual identity.
