Cancer Navigator Program (ENACCT)
The goal of the ENACCT Pilot Education Program is to demonstrate the impact of a community-driven outreach and education program to increase awareness about cancer clinical trials, enhance their acceptability, and improve access to them. To meet this goal, POCAAN will work to accomplish the following objectives:

Change knowledge, attitudes, and beliefs about clinical trials among health care providers and community leaders. Enhance the acceptability of clinical trials among community members. Increase the number of inquiries about clinical trials. Increase the number of referrals to clinical trials. Reduce local barriers to clinical trial access.

Cross Cultural Collaborative of Pierce County, Washington
The Cross Cultural Collaboration of Pierce County partners came together in 2001 with the purpose of improving tobacco prevention and cessation among ethnically diverse cultural and socio-economic minority groups of Pierce County. The collaborative members consist of 15 multicultural community based organizations. The collaborative will work in conjunction with the cancer-care community to increased minorities participation in clinical trials.

The mission of the Cross Cultural Collaboration of Pierce County is to serve, protect and celebrate diverse populations. The goal is to capitalize on the assets and strengths of the community by leading and collaborating through the promotion of systematic change that will increase access, availability, and culturally appropriate health care for all.
